How Long Does Pain Below Ribs Last After Cholecystectomy?

i had cholecystectomy june 2013 , i try to avoid high fatty foods as much as i can but ,when ever i eat a fatty food i hurt on my rt side below the ribs, how long am i supposed to expect this pain ,will this ever go away ?i recently noted that iam passing more gas as well, does ,no change in bowel habits noted,does my symptoms corrleate
