How Long Does Pneumonia Take To Get Treated?

I got a cold 5 days ago and was diagnosed with pneumonia 2days ago. Was started on Levoquin, Albuterol MDI and dexmethazone. When is it ok to resume some normal activities? Like going to work and going for a gentle walk? Is there a sign like when symptoms are gone?

Hello! Welcome to HealthcareMagic!

You need to complete the course of antibiotics for 5 or 7 days as prescribed. As it is only 2 days past, I would advise you to take rest for at least another 2 days before you resume your duties either at home or at your workplace. Of course, you can go for a small walk but with precautions like a woolen sweater, cap covering your ears and head to prevent any cold air. If you are comply with the prescribed medication and balanced diet, you can recover in another 3-4 days. Hope you got questions clarified. Any further clarifications from my side are always entertained with pleasure.

Thank you.

Take care
