General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Though idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis has very restricted treatment. It can increase lifespan, which is 3 to 6 years (can be decided by knowing desaturation after 6 minutes walk test).

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr Vasudha Jayant Athavale, General & Family Physician
