How Long Does Recovery From A Scrotal Debridement Take?
Ive had a scrotal debridement about 5 weeks ago due to necrotic skin resulting after cululitis. There was a debridement and investigation made to the left testicle, which is now uncovered. The district nurses changed my dressing everyday and hqve said there is a big improvement, the wound is now half the size and there is signs of granulation. My concern now is that the left testicle is still uncovered by granulation and haa a green/dark yellow dryness over it. The nurses say that this is a dry layer. My current dressings are Autrauman or Inadine daily changes, with a sterile gauze covering these. My question is how long does a debridement auch as this take to repair.

How Long Does Recovery From A Scrotal Debridement Take?
Hello, It will take very long to complete granulation. Generally one and half to two months will take for complete granulation. You can also consider skin grafting for faster recovery and better healing. Consult a plastic surgeon and he will direct you accordingly. Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further. Take care Regards, Dr. Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
