How Long Does Swelling In Scrotum Post Laparoscopic Hernia Surgery Last?

I had laparoscopic hernia surgery over 5 weeks ago and have swelling in the left groin area which is hard and larger than a golf ball. I visited my surgeon 2 weeks after surgery and was informed I did not have to come back. Should I be concerned or how long can I anticipate until this swelling goes down. I have no pain.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello dear Greetings
Regarding your symptoms of swelling at your groin following a previous laparoscopic hernia repair I am strongly believing that the swelling will regress at most 1 month
In view of this you can revisit your physician in case the swelling persistent after a month Later
I hope this helps
