How Long Does Swelling In The Arm Due To DVT Persist?

Recently I had my PICC line removed because of blood clotting. My right arm swelled up due to DVT and now I am on Xareltro medication (20mg daily). My question is how long does the swelling remain, arm is still firm to the touch and can see the veins in my shoulder and upper arm?

I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

The swelling following DVT persist for varying period of times depending upon the internal collection of fluid. On and average, if taken care precisely, the swelling gets resolution started within 2-3 days and later on complete recovery may take weeks.
