General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello and welcome to HCM!
I understand your concerns:

Sprained ankles are the most common injuries that happen every day. The grades of damages are different and the time it takes to heal is different too. You have had a history of fracture before so the time it will take may be longer.

Generally low grades of spraining take one week to recover
High grades need more time because the articulation and ligaments have to gain the flexibility and strength. That may last from 2 weeks to months if the injury is really bad.

I hope my answer was helpful and i wish you a fast relief.
Best regards!
Dr Eriol.
