How Long Does The Treatment Of Lymphadenopathy Take?
Hello , I have been diagnosed with koch s lymphadenopathy, can you please tell me if my dosage is correct. I am 83 kg now. RCINEX 600 mg -daily once (which includes isoniazid 300mg), Pyrazinamide - 750 mg (daily twice), Combutol 800mg (daily once) and Benadon 40 mg daily once. Do i need to follow any particular diet or avoid eating curd. I am taking protein diet of Milk and egg daily. How long this treatment (duration) should be continued.
No particular diet except high protein diet is required. Your dosage are right except the dose of Combutol. Considering your weight, it should be 1 Gram. Usually the duration of treatment is 6 months and we are to withdraw Pyrazinamide after 2 months. In some cases the duration of treatment may be a bit longer if advised by your doctor.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Satnarain Bansal, General & Family Physician
