How Long Does Typhoid Fever Takes To Leave The Body?
my daughter was diagonised with typhoid fever two days ago.She is on cefuroxime antibiotic for five days.However, she has been having persistant headaches and a temperature of 36-37°C. I have been giving her brustan, which i was given by the doctor, but the headaches dont seem to go away. Is it because the body is fighting the infection?How long does it take for the typhoid to completely clear from a person s system?

Hello dear,
Generally symptoms will subsides with in 3-4 days after giving antibiotic and it will clear in 14-16 days.
But it will take long time to clear in antibiotic resistance case.
So do follow up of thyroid test strictly to know the clearnce.
Complete the treatment fully as high chance of recurrence.
Just take more dose of bustan for 2-3 days to relieve headache.
