How Long Does Vasovagal Syncope Take To Get Cured?
I m a 55 year old female who had a bike accident on July 23 (7 weeks ago). After a long ride on a hot day, I passed out, simply breaking for a traffic light, was admitted overnight and have had symptoms of concussion ever since (emotional, fearful, anxious) I was diagnosed with Vaso Vagal Syncope. I m signed up to take 2 classes (basic math and computer courses) at our local community college beginning 9/25. My husband thinks I m not up to it. I m frustrated with how long it s taking to recover. Thoughts? Input?
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
As per my clinical experience, the vasovagal syncope recovery happens within a period of less than 24 hours, though there can be individual variations for this period.
If your vital parameters are settled, you can attend the college class without any problem.
Take care.
Regards.
