How Long Is Petogen Effective?

Hi I have been on petogen since 5/09/2017 it was my first time. I didn t go on periods in September but now last night had unprotected sex with my partner don t know if I should take the morning after pill or petogen still in my body system. I m kinder confused

Hi there, I have understood your concern and I will suggest you the best possible treatment options.

First of all do not panic.
Injection Petogen, is injectable contraceptive containing Medroxy progesterone hormone 150 mg. It work for 3 months and it's action starts within 24 to 72 hours after injection.

So even if you have unprotected sex activity after 3 days of injection you need not worry about the pregnancy.

In case of any doubt blood beta HCG test can be done 20 days after the first unprotected sex activity.
