How Long Is Medication Required For A Patient With Endocarditis?
My dad has a WBC of 19.3, he is in the hospital getting a variety of antibiotics. There is no obvious infection anywhere. He had his leg amputated in February. He will be given a couple of heart tests in the morning. He has a pacemaker but no heart valve anything. How long will he take antibiotics if he has endocarditis ? He is 83

It all depends mostly on the severity of infective endocarditis, the causative agents, and the disease duration and damage done by the disease. It may roughly take 1 to 3 weeks depending upon the recovery.
Yes there doesn't seem to be any obvious infection in this disease but internally its very serious heart infection. Keep him in ICU and carry on with the treatment regimen.
Hope it helps. If you need further, detailed and quick assistance related to any health issues in future, feel free to 'ask me a question' directly from my profile.
