How Long It Takes To Recover After Surgery For Bone Spur In Ankle?

My fiance has a bone spur in his ankle, unfortunately we have to work and dint have the time to take off, I was wondering what the recovery time is for the surgery, he's has the spur for six years and was told its punctured the tendon in the ankle hes always in pain.-Bri
