Hello,
You are diagnosed with
diabetes (blood sugar level was found to be towards the higher side). Some problem with the
liver was also detected for which you have been prescribed Essentiale (4 times a day). You have not provided details on the liver problem or diagnosis. Since you are
overweight, you should do regular exercises and walking at least two times a day.
Control your blood sugar level at all cost. Cut on alcohol intake or addictions if any. For 2-3 months take boiled food that is home made. Avoid oily , spicy junk food. Since you are suffering from liver disorder you should take boiled water after cooling it. Take food good for the liver. Take liver tonic and digestives. Take at least 8 hours sleep so that your liver gets adequate time to repair.
Stay well hydrated. If you are able to control your blood sugar level by lifestyle change and diet control, you may not have to take diabetic medicines. It all depend on your control. Essentiale is Phospholipids (Essentiale Forte P) that you have been prescribed by your local treating doctor is a medicine used to treat liver diseases. It relieves discomforts like
lack of appetite, sensation of pressure in the right epigastric area due to liver
injury caused by unhealthy diet, toxic substance, etc.
Regarding the dosage and the duration for which you will have to take the medicine you should consult your treating doctor. It will depend on the response of your liver to the treatment being given. In case you are not comfortable taking such high dose (4 times a day) you should tell your treating doctor about the side effects you are experiencing so that the dose can be lowered.
Taking any medicine for a very long time will cause side effects. Make lifestyle changes and control your diet so that you may be able to heal naturally. However, you should get blood sugar and liver function tests done routinely to assess your improvement.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
