Hello Chrissie,

Implanon is Etonogestrel contraceptive implant, which is a single-rod subdermal contraceptive implant. It is a type of long-acting reversible contraceptive device.

In most cases, within a week of its removal, the hormones from the device leave the body.

Most women will begin to ovulate within 6 weeks of removal and Fertility levels will return to what they were before Implanon insertion.

So, kindly wait for about 6 - 8 weeks, by which your periods will also regularize and you start your timely ovulation. That should improve the chances of conception.

Hope the information provided would be useful for you. Wish you all the best.
