How Long Should Domstal And Nexpro Be Taken For Treatment Of Esophagitis?
I am a 26 yr old male. I had bloating/gas issues for about 2 months and frequent loose motions. The condition aggravated when I stayed awake during late night hours. For loose motion I took ornidazole(5 days) as advised by on site doctor. On advice of a Gastroenterologist I undertook a endoscopy. He diagnosed me with Gastric erosion,Lax Cardia and esophagatis. I was prescribed Nexpro-20(once in the morning empty stomach) and domstal 10(Once in morning and once before dinner). There is improvement but a few days ago due to work I slept at around 1 am, the day I had bloating in the evening,It disappeared after I took the medicines the next day. I have been taking these medicines for the last 10 days. How long I have to take these medicines? I fear the bloating and other issue might come back after I have finished my prescription for 15 days. Please advice.
The intake of domstal and nexpro can be increased as per the need if the symptoms are more annoying 12 hourly intakes can give best results.
Associated other measures to get well soon, in this case, would be
- keeping head end of the bed elevated for 30 - 40 degree when sleeping - regular walking, exercises - control of blood sugar, cholesterol, weight - avoidance of smoking, alcohol - adapt stress free life - strict dietary measures to follow bland, vegan pattern - have soft, regular smooth bowel evacuations daily
