Hello
Sputum is negative for A F B , this means this is not that you are not having pulmonary tuberculosis .
As I have noted so many times that we start anti tubercular treatment in spite of this that SPUTUM for A F B is negative.
But for confirmation of tuberculosis (if you have any doubt) get in blood for C B C & E S R( if it is more than 100 mm of 1st hour highly suggestive of tuberculosis ).
Also get in Protein Purified Derivative( PDP )- Tuberculin Skin test .
But positive in x ray , clinical history , physical examination by a CHEST & TUBERCULOSIS specialist will confirm the tuberculosis .
Now for treatment point of view.
Take a complete treatment as advised you treating doctor.
But ONE thing I want to tell you NEVER stop anti tubercular treatment till your doctor advice this .
Hope this will help you.
