How Long Should Anticonvulsants Be Taken To Control Seizures?

My daughter was diagnosed with seizures (afebrile) since she was 16 months old... She was started on anticonvulsants at that time and she has been seizure free since then and it has been now almost more than three years....How long does she needs to be on the anticonvulsants?? Please reply.
