How Long Should Eyes Remain Shut After Suffering From Swelling?

I got hit in the left eye and it swelled shut. That was two nights ago.. It's still swollen shut and ice packs arnt doing much.. My eye lid upper and lower are very puffy. I blew my nose and my eye.puffed up even more, the check is also swollen pretty good. How long should my eye stay closed befor I should go the the doctors??

For swollen eye lid now you can take analgesic anti inflametary tablet like combiflam and apply neosporine ointment. Slowly it will subside and you will be able to open lid.
