How Long Should I Take Cefixime To Completely Cure Typhoid?

Sir, I have been diagnosed with typhoid, salmonella typhi 0 and H positive. i am prescribed cefixime 200 mg, and folic acid tonic and dolo syrup. How long should i take cefixime to completely cure typhoid and when can i start taking normal diet, 2 weeks now, still having light fever.

As you mentioned in the query that you are having TYPHOID fever and taking treatment for it from last 14 days , still there is fever low grade.
Cifixime is a potent drug for Salmonell , folic aicd is a tonic and dolo is paracetamol.
Stillt there is fever in spite of this that you are also taking paracetamol .
Fever ( light or low grade ) from last 2 weeks .
Paracetamol using .
In my opinion once again get in blood for C B C , E S R , Widal & serology test for typhoid .
When such patients visit to me in my clinic I advise them to get in an X ray of chest to rule out tuberculosis .
Serum bilirubin also advised to rule out hepatitis or jaundice .
In my opinion consult a physician and get his opinion ( 2nd ) , because either it is not a typhoid fever or didn't responding to treatment.
