Sir I was detected with jaundice on June 27 . Earlier my test reports showed bilirubin 4.06 , sgpt was 5300 and sgot was 2400 with a fatty liver enlargement of 15cm , now almost two weeks back I again got my tests done and the complete report was normal . Bilirubin .68 , sgpt 40 , sgot 32.9 . I am a fitness freak and it s been almost two months I haven t been to gym , so from when can I start my workout sessions and my protein diet ?

Hi,
Thanks for writing to HCM.
It was unfortunate to note that you contacted with jaundice and the liver function tests were abnormal.
The recent reports you have posted shows that the liver function has come back to normal.
Since you say you are fitness freak and you need to start workout, it is advisable that you can start it after another 2 weeks (1 month adequate rest in total).
That is because, even though the values indicate that it has reached normal, it takes about 1 week to 10 days for tissues to get back to normal function. Any insult during this period can result in reappearance of the disease.
Even when you start, start with mild exercises and gradually increase the intensity and duration.
Hope the information given would be useful.
All the best.
