How Long Will Prednisone Take To Bring Changes?

after taking bactrim ds for about 10 days I developed a reaction. My doctor gave a prednisone shot and prescription and recommend taking Benadryl. How long until the insanely itchy rash goes away? I have been off the bactrim for 3 days now and have been taking prednisone and using the Benadryl for that long as well.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

Allergic reaction induced rashes of bactrim should wear off within a period of 24 hours after the prednisone shot. If the same persist beyond a period of 1 day, you must consult your doc for dose adjustment or molecule addition for faster recovery.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
