How Long Will A Ligament Cut Take To Heal After Surgery?

If surgery defined as "neurolysis with transposition" . is used to free pressure on my lateral femoral cutaneous nerve.....How long (on average) does it take for the ligament to heal? . The doctor says he is making a very small cut in the ligament. thanks marilyn
