How Long Will A Person With Multiple Myelin And Non Functional Liver Live?

my mother in law has multiple myolin and now her liver is not working well anymore she's taking morphine for pain. she used to take thalidomide but the new doctor stopped it because he said it it's only making her getting worse now the doctor is curing her liver before going on chemo therapy . I just want to know how long she will live for? Because this doctor says she will be completely cured but i don't really believe it. I hope you can reply to me.
