How Long Will Bleeding Continue Post A Depo Shot?

I got the depo shot in October which resulted in constant bleeding. So about 6 weeks later the dr put me on Loloestrin, which still bleeding. So now I am on gilders 1/20 fe. Still spotting. I am a newlywed and don t need this problem right now. How long can I expect to continue spotting???

Thanks for posting in HCM.
I understand your concern.
Birth control pills or depot shots when introduced newly or first time might cause menstrual disturbances like prolonged bleeding or intermittent spotting in few individuals.
However, such symptoms should stabilize and subside by 3 to 6 months.
In case it doesn't and continue to bother you, it would be advisable to change the mode of contraception which would suit you.
Kindly consult Gynecologist inbths regard for evaluation and management.
