How Long Will Cefdinir Take To Cure Cystic Acne?

Hi! So I visited the dermatologist about a week ago and she prescribed cefdinir for treating my acne. I was just wondering if you could tell me not only how well it will treat cystic acne, but also how long I till I should expect to see improvements. I m anxious and I really need to know. I ve been taking it for a little over a week now and at the beginning nearly all of the inflammation/redness in my cheeks left. Now however it seems to be returning. Should I expect this?

Hi,

I can understand your concern for the pimples a in yourself. Acne or pimples are youth related problem and is not a disease per say.
A gel containing clindamycin phosphate 1.2% w/w and tretinoin gel can be very helpful to you for long term. The only precaution you should follow is to apply the cream in very thin layer and that too over affected area only.

In cystic acne the best treatment is by isotretinoin capsules under strict dermatological supervision only.

Take a proper guidance and follow up with a good dermatologist so that all the problem of acne can be dealt best for future time.

Take care
