How Long Will Discoloration Under The Eye Post An Injury Last?

I m 56. I hit my head in a fall. Cut over the eyebrow, Hit my cheekbone. Blackened eye. Four days ago. Now there is what looks like a blood bag under my the size of a small pinky fingernail. When will it go away? What can I do to make it go away faster?

Hi,

A black eye is basically blood collection under the eye. It will take 2-3 months for complete recovery. Apply warm water pad on affected areas. Don't worry, you will be alright with all these.
