How Long Will It Take For Tsh Levels To Normalize After Discontinuing The Phentermine?

I have Hashimoto s and take Armour thyroid daily. For the last 6 months I have also been taking Phentermine. Over the past 6 months, my tsh lab results were affected by the phentermine. I have now stopped taking the Phentermine. How long will it take for my tsh levels to normalize after discontinuing the Phentermine? I just want to get my labs done but do not want a false low tsh result.

Hello,
Thank you for asking on HCM!
TSH is a hormone that takes weeks to get back to normal ranges when the cause of instability is removed.
So you need to check TSH level 4-6 weeks after stopping phentermine.
Than adjust the dose of levothyroxine according to the result.
