How Long Will It Take To Recover From Lung Cancer?

My girlfriend is 21 years old...she used to smoke for like 1~2 years (5~7 Cigarette a day) i made her quit almost a year ago, i had to leave the countries for a while, and after i left, she said that by accident the doctors find out that she have lung cancer, but it's still at early stage, she said that she had a surgery (lasted for 2hrs), and she said that now she's on chemotherapy, and she needs 4 chemo. cycles (1 every 2 weeks), i don't know if she's say the truth or she's lying, my questions is, 1- is that possible (lung cancer and she's only 21 years old) 2- is she saying the truth or she's lying? 3- if she's saying the truth, how many years she have?, and will she be able to even reach 40? 4- how long it takes to back to normal after the chemo.? ( i mean how long it takes after finishing the chemo. to stop the vomiting...etc) 5- is that might effect on her in the future....thanks
