How Long Will Lump Within The Skin Of Lower Lip, Tall Ridge Inside Mouth Due To Injury Take To Heal?
I injured by lower lip and lower teeth 2 weeks ago. Used a lot of ice at the time which did help a lot. However below my lower lip there is still a small lump within the skin - like a nodule which can be felt from the outside. On back of this, inside the mouth there is still a perpendicular taller ridge. Within what time frame should this be disappearing?
I am so sorry to hear about this lump that you mentioned in your lower lip. I understand your frustration on this and i very much hope it soon goes away. Unfortunately, lumps like these may take a little longer even up to months before the completely disappear, not because they are very big but simply because the lips are so sensitive that they would pick up any small ass and make a big impression of it. It may even may you feel like it is so big that others can see it of which it clearly not the case. There is nothing much that can be done about this right now. I will encourage you to exercise some patience and this would be soon gone and does not need any further medical attention.
I hope this addresses your query fully. Thank you so much for patronizing our services and please do feel free to ask for follow up clarifications and information if need be. I wish you the best of health. Dr. Ditah, MD.
