Hi,

Nicotine and its metabolites can be detected in urine for up to 3-4 days after the last cigarette use. However, since you have smoked only four times over two weeks and your last cigarette was five days before the urine test, the nicotine may have already been eliminated from your body.

To increase your chances of passing the test, you can continue to stay abstinent from smoking and also try to increase your fluid intake (such as water and cranberry juice) to help flush out any remaining nicotine and metabolites. It is also important to maintain a healthy diet and exercise routine to support your body's natural detoxification process.

However, it is important to note that quitting smoking completely is the best choice for your health and the health of your developing baby. If you are struggling to quit, you can talk to your healthcare provider about options for smoking cessation support.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Priyanka, General & Family Physician
