How Long Will The Menstruation Take To Become Regular After A C-section?

Hello, I had a C-section almost 5 months ago. I breastfed for 2 months and a half then, a month later my first period came. It was heavier than before pregnancy but only on 2nd and 3rd day, then normal. The same occured a month later when my second period came. But now, only 2 weeks after my second period, I have some brownish spotting. What could be the cause?is it possible to have some hormonal imbalance even after 5 months from C-section?how long does it take for the periods to be regullar again?thank you!

Generally, normal periods resume within 3 months after a C section.
It is possible to have mild hormonal disturbance after 5 months.
It is best to use regular birth control.
