How Much Cyclobenzaprine Be Taken For Neck Pain Caused By An Accident?

My 22 your old son had a car accident today and has a lot of neck pain. The ER did a CT scan and it was clear. The Dr prescribed Cyclobenzaprine 10 mg, 1 every 8 hours and he took one at 6 and one at 10 because he said he was still hurting. How dangerous is it to take this medication too often?

Hi,
sorry for your sons accident.

cyclobenzaprine is a muscle relaxant.
Usual dose for adult :5/10mg , 3times a day, 2/3 weeks.
response depends on individual.
So, dont worry about dose.
If any drug reaction like : *Rash, confusion, abnormal behaviour etc immediately stop medicine and consult with doctor.
