How Much Time Could It Take To Recover From A Laproscopic Total Hysterectomy?

I just had robotic assisted laporoscopic total hysterectomy on the 30th of December, the surgeon took my uterus, cervix, fallopian tubes and ovaries since I had cancer cells. I have 6 incisions, 1 on either side up high, 1 on either side down lower, 1 by my belly button and a larger one in my abdomen since the uterus was enlarged and couldn t come out of the small incision. I am wondering what the recovery time will be for a 74 year old woman?Never mind...I didn t know there would be a fee...

Hello ma'am and welcome.

The recovery time after laproscopic surgery is usually about 3-7 days. Usually laproscopic surgery is a day-care procedure, which means the patient can be admitted and discharged the same day. But as yours was a more serious surgery, I would say about 3-7 days should suffice to allow you to return to your daily activities and even work ma'am.

Best wishes.
