Hello!

Thank you for the query.

It all depends of the reason of jaundice. Your jaundice can be caused by many reasons including bile ducts obstruction, liver viral infection, blood hemolysis, Gilberts syndrome and many many more.
So it is hard to answer how long you can have it not knowing the reason of it.
You should have proper diagnostics to determine the reason of it. You should have abdominal ultrasound, liver tests (AST,ALT,GGTP,AP), amylase, lipase, direct and indirect bilirubin, HbSAg, Anti-HCV, urine analysis.

Hope this will help.
Regards.
