How Much Time Does Viral Meningitis Take To Be Cured?

28 yr old son in law takes lots of sick tie from work as a line cook. goes inti er, various symtoms,each time. yesterday, he was sent home with meningitis supposedly viral. he lives with wife , an 11 month old, and 3 year old. all share the same bed. questions: 1) could he have already infected those around him? 2)when is it time enough to return to work?

I really appreciate your concern for your son in low, if this the pure meningitis then the cure of this disease depends upon the body response to the drugs if every thing goes well then it may take couple of week to come around, if this is the viral meningitis then care should be taken to isolate the patient, hope this information helps you, take care and have a nice day.
