How Safe Is Asthalin Syrup For An One Month Old Infant?

Hello dr ,my baby is 1 month 16 days and suffering from cold n cough .and I am also having the same cold n cough.she is not any other problem but my paediatrician recommend Asthalin syrup and nebulization for a day.is this medicine Asthalin safe for my baby as I heard that this is for only asthma patient. Suggest me plz.....

I understand your concern.
Asthalin medication contains Salbutamol, which is known to help in ease of respiration by its bronchodilator effect.
It can be used for an infant of 1 month while having respiratory problems due to cough and cold. However, you should not use more than the dose what has been recommended.
Kindly follow the instructions given by your Pediatrician and do the follow-up as necessary.
