How Safe Is Monostat 1 For Yeast Infection?

i have what i think is a yeast infection. i didnt realize that i could treat it during my period so i waited 5 days to treat it with monostat 1 day. i used it last night and i am also using the topical cream. i have no improvement and now the vulva is REALLy swollen. what should i do?
