Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi, I have PCOS and endo. I am currently using contraception pill, metformin 1000mg per day. I would like to start taking my progynova 2mg per day vaginal. I am 35 and unable to carry a child and am no longer trying to conceive. I miss the sugar tablets with the contraception tablets to avoid my period as the pain is unbearable. Would it be safe to use the progynova? I would like to use it again as it relieves the dryness that makes sex very painful
From your description, I am of the opinion that yes, you can use progynova although a risk of thromboembolism is universal to LL such patients and you have to be aware of this.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Ashish Ranjan, General & Family Physician
