I am of the opinion that if you are planning for a third baby in future, you might continue with this pregnancy since the age of your last child is 3 years. If you wish to have abortion, at this early gestational age you can take medicines to abort. Medicines can be used to abort baby for up to 9 weeks of pregnancy. For this first you should consult family physician /Gynecologist. Before the treatment it is important to have examination by your doctor to make sure that the pregnancy is in the uterus and you do not have contraindications for the medications. In Medical abortion there are two types of medicines ( anti progesterone and prostaglandin) used for abortion. Medical abortion is about 95% effective. Most women ( 80%) abort within 24 hours of taking the second pill. Some take little longer. After aborting the pregnancy you may have light bleeding for two weeks. Get an ultrasound done after two weeks to make sure that the abortion process is complete.
