How Safe Is Cefodox Intake For Cough In Pregnant Woman?

My wife is 7 months pregnant and she is having bad cough for more than 3weeks she has taken the cough syrup with the medicine of cefodox 20mg from last three days kindly advise weather cefodox is ok to take in pregnancy and what if in case it's not cured

Hi and thanks for the query,
It is imperative to evaluate carefully and know why she is coughing. An infection and gastroesophagal reflux disease should be checked out carefully. Cefodox is safe especially when taken for a relatively short while. Taking it for less than a week will not cause any harm. Kind regards
