How Safe Is Cryotherapy Procedure To Control Bleeding?

I am a 30 year old female, I have been bleeding during sex the most and a little the day after sex. My pap came back good as did my STD test. The Dr now wants to do a cryotherapy procedure. I have not had kids yet. How safe is this to control bleeding, and how effective is this.
