How Safe Is Metformin To Control Sugar Levels?

Hi, I've been diabetic for 31 yrs. Startd on Metformin/Glibenclamade. Insulin when pregnant. Now on Humalog and Lantus. Want to revert to Metformin as sugar levels are 6, creatine 79, chol ldl 2.1,, hdl 2.66 fbc nad alb/creatine 1.3. Is it possible without becoming dangerous to my health?

Hi

Metformin is very safe drug as long as your kidneys are normal . If your creatinine level is less than 1.2 mg / dl you can use Metformin . You have mentioned your creatinine as 79 is it 79 or 0.79
