How Safe Is Taking Cipla Finpecia 1 Mg Finasteride Tablet For Hair Loss?

Hi, I am 24 years male, balding since 6 years(MPB), looking to take Cipla Finpecia 1 mg finasteride tablet. i have heard lot of negative reviews like loss of sexual interest,depression, neuro problems e.t.c. Can i take 1mg tablet daily without any prescription. I am really scared from its side effects. Kindly suggest. Thanks.

Thanks for writing to us.
Finesteride is completely safe as long as you use it under a doctor's supervision and guidance. It is a prescription drug, so self medication is deifinitely not advised. Finesteride has some sexual side effects but these are not commonly seen and are more frequent with higher doses of finesteride( 5mg). For hair loss we use finesteride 1mg. Also these side effects are completely reversible. So if at all a person develops any ill effect( which is uncommonly seen), it can be reversed by stopping the medicine.
