How Safe Is Taking Fragmin 2500 Injection During Pregnancy?
my wife had 3 miscarriages earlier with out seeing heart beat. but now she is 8 weeks prego with heart beat. my doctor advised her to take fragmin 2500 iu injection once a day until 36 th week of pregnancy. is it safe to take?? is it necessary to take.? how this injection will prevent the miscarriages ? please help me in this situation.

Fragmin will help in preventing blood clots. It could possibly be that your wife is at risk of developing a blood clot, which can put both her and her fetus at risk. The given dose is half of the usual dose and should always be used as thromboprophylaxis in high risk pregnancies with women who have a history of thrombosis or have a risk of thrombosis in their current pregnancy.
