How Safe Is Taking Microgynon 50 ED For Heavy And Painful Periods?

Hi, I have been taking microgynon 50 ED for 6 days for very heavy and painful periods. I am experiencing indigestion and nausea continually and food aversion. It is quite similar to the first trimester symptoms I experienced with my 3rd child. I am not pregnant as I have had a tubal ligation. I am 41 and a non-smoker. I take regular iron supplements. No other medications.
