How Safe Is Taking Skifi AZ 500mg For Salmonella Typhi?

My son Hemanth tested positive for Salmonella Typhi "O" 1:80 & Salmonella Typhi "H" 1:80. Temperature started on 31.01.2014 & typhoid test results were positive on 10.02.2014. For last one week he is treated with Cifran 500mg before the test results. Now he is treated with Skifi AZ 500mg. Please let me know the treatment is in the right direction and how may days it will take for the temperature to come down
