Hi,

Noted your history of recurrent ear discharge particularly during a particular season for 3 years, last year anti-fungal helped but not helping this time, the discharge is foul smelling.
As per the history the most probable reasons for such a problem is as follows:
Cholesteatoma formation.
Mastoiditis.
Nose and sinus infection with Eustachian tube dysfunction.
Hence I would advise the following in all such patients.
First of all to send the pus for gram staning, culture and sensitivity.
CT scan of mastoids.
Investigations of blood
ENT Endoscopy.
Audiometry.
Surgery if the cause is surgical.
Anti-fungal only if there is any evidence of fungal infection.
Symptomatic and supportive management.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. T. Chandrakant, ENT and General Surgeon
