How Serious Are The Findings In The Lab Report?

Dear Doctor My husband is 32 years old who is having high lymphocytes (39.1), ESR of 12mm, total cholestérol of 231mg/dL, LDl of 162 mg/dL,specific gravity of 1.010, and uric acid of 8.8 mg/dL.kindly advise the risk factors behind all this hyper level...and also the diet to follow...thank you Shitha

Thanks for writing to HCM

He is suffering from dyslipidemia with hyperuricemia.
He also need few more investigations like routine hemogram,RBS(Random blood sugar),LFT,RFT,Ultrasound of abdomen.Further investigations can be done if needed.
He need life style modification and diet changes.
He should avoid high fat food like red meat and high fat milk products.
Cook food in olive or canola oil.
He should take limited salt in his diet.Avoid fried and junk food.He should avoid alcohol and smoking if he take these things.
Take lot of fruits and vegetables.He should also increase his physical activity in the form of walking and exercise.
He can also do meditation and yoga.It will help him a lot.

He can take hypolipidemic drugs like tablet Atorvastatin 10 mg at night after dinner.
He should also avoid purine rich foods for hyperuricemia.If increased uric acid level persists then he need medicines for it.
