Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Had trouble swallowing this hydroxizene pill and it got stuck in my throat. I can t tell if it s all dissolved yet; what I m certain of is that it didn t noticeably loosen and go down. The throat burning isn t going away. 1) Can this harm the tissues? 2) how long can I expect to suffer?
Difficulty in swallowing & burning throat are side effects of taking Hydralazine. If Hydralazine cause facial muscle twitching, swelling of the eyes, face, lips, or tongues it should be reported immediately to the treating doctor.
Before administration Hydralazine should be shaken well & the direction in the prescription of the medication should be followed. Uncontrolled muscle movements or any chest discomfort should be reported to the PCP without delay.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr Nupur K
